Announcing the Eris Online Wiki!

We’re excited to share that we’ve set up a dedicated wiki for Eris Online over at https://wiki.erismmo.com/. It’s still in its early stages, but we’ve already added some game data to get started:

  • Races: Details on all the available races.
  • Classes: Details of each archetypes.
  • Items: A list with prices (more to come on this).

We’re planning to expand it further:

  • Skills: Details of all available skills.
  • Item Affixes: Details of all available affixes.
  • More Item Data: Full stats for armor, weapons, accessories, and other item types beyond just prices.

Questions:

  1. Is there any other game data you would like to see added to the wiki?
  2. What info do you not want on the wiki?

@The_Aracanid if you like, you are more than welcome to upload your guides onto the wiki. It’s currently setup so that anyone can edit the wiki, but with an account (it’s separate from the forum) your name will be in the edit history.

Feel free to tag anyone else into this post who you think might like to contribute.

info i dont want on the wiki: combat specific details for classes. they largely decide which guild is more powerful. better your training and stats, more you dominate on battlefield.

info i want: timeline. you will need to help skarv with this one. first guild creation, about goldhoarders, mercs and other services such as info trading, etc.

also please add treaty of red caye in wiki. if possible, you can also add it on a stone tab next to the banker. feels like it would make for a nice lore addition and ensure that noobs arent bullied.

Happy to provide any specific info if possible, just let me know. Otherwise we will leave it to the players to decide what info is important and what to put on the wiki.

My questions was more about what info (from the developers), should we put? I am currently creating workflows so that I can export game data and import them onto the wiki, I would assume this is preferable to manual data entry. Any data that is easily accessible, i.e. you create a character and read stats, I feel is a good use case of this approach.

yea, i agree with it. i suggest you create an entirely different segment for lore though. you can also put info about all the updates till now. just avoid placing the optimised way to distribute stats.

Oh, hey, I got my job back, also keep the theme same as the forum so people know it’s the official one and it makes sense thematically

Things I personally want to see would be

  • a page about the different mobs. Like their stats or at the very least their drops. This would be more important due to the future bosses who might be added.
  • FAQ section about Eris.
  • A tabular form for the items, i checked it out and everything is a list. (e.g the item prices.)
  • Different pages rather than it being a singular page.
  • A bit more in-depth explanation of the trait system, because many new players struggle with it.
  • Dark and light mode option.
  • maybe easter eggs and secrets, if u get bored.
  • (I am going to include your racist to birbs in every guide I write)

Things i don’t want to see would be

  • things like strategy guides, and other things that could rather be done by the players so it’s more interactive.

  • Trolling, like if everyone can edit the wiki, then i expect either now or in the future, there will be a lot of misinformation or other wrong type of content.

  • Ads

Anyway, thank you and Cathy for making the Wiki, it will be way more useful to write on there instead of the forums. This would also help new players too. And of course, I will continue to write more guides.

I was so close to being the first person to reply to this, but then i had something to do. Anyway @Zator @Solenne

This will be so useful:smiling_face_with_sunglasses::smiling_face_with_sunglasses: No need to search through forums just to remember what the controls and things are.

Sounds great! I’d be happy to contribute and watch Eris grow in popularity over time. :fire:
