so for some reason armour and other stuff randomly gets tinted to red in some regions

if your skill level for armour is lower than required they appear red. if your skill level is adequate and still happening, its likely a bug.

I know the cultists drop level 10 cloth armor, and the only requirement is you are level 10 and are able to equip that specific slot. Let me know if you meet the requirements in the tool tip and it’s still red, I’ll need to investigate the issue in that case.

I believe you are a fighter class? Fighters now only have access to light or heavy armor, and cloth is available for mages and healers. Generally you can check what you can wear or wield from your Skill window.

Oh, and I believe the hood junk is just naturally red. I can see it could be confusing, we can make the color indication better.
